Comparing battery packs for racing.
Launch battery test tool program, and set program to auto mode using instructions. Label each battery with a number or serial name, and start drain on batteries.
Save data afterwards, as a file name relating to the battery. Also print out battery data. Compare printed data, and know what packs are best for your race. Also know what packs are not passing your goal time, or what packs need to be rematched. As of version 1.9 and above software finds how good your battery is.
Know if your battery pack needs to be rematched. Save time and a trip to the hardware store. This software can find if you have a bad battery pack without seperating the pack to individual batteries. Use curve fit test!, or look at picture example below. If your chart dips like these pictures below, know if pack needs to be matched!
Save hundreds of dollars!, match your batteries yourself. If you are into matching batteries for people or yourself then this is a must. You will need to first run the pack charged to see if it needs to be matched. if it is not, then you will need to charge batteries individually, then discharge them individually and corespond current and voltage drops to batteries. Print out individual charts for each ni-cad cell, and know its current and voltage draw for every 15 seconds. Use this information to match your batteries, or match them for someone. Matched batteries increase efficiency of energy transfer to rc car, and reduce heat. Also dispose of bad batteries that don't meet your goal time.
Are your rc car parts working? Use digital o-scope, digital volt voice meter, or pulse counter to diagnose hobby electronic hardware, or rc car parts for proper operation. even troubleshoot pc parts, or other devices up to ~12 volts ac/dc.
